About Ultimate Mediterranean Israel
This trip combines our Mediterranean Discovery and Israel Journey programs! Start your adventure in Italy and Slovenia, where you’ll experience a blend of breathtaking landscapes, ancient history, and vibrant Jewish culture. Walk the streets of Venice, explore the iconic landmarks of Florence, and uncover the stories of Jewish life that have flourished in these regions for millennia. In Slovenia, you’ll raft down crystal-clear rivers, hike through alpine landscapes, and dive into the heart of medieval towns, enjoying everything from glass-making in Murano to the lively atmosphere of local markets. This leg of the journey offers a perfect mix of adventure, cultural discovery, and reflection on Jewish heritage. Continue on to Israel, where the journey deepens as you traverse the country from the northern Galilee to the southern Red Sea. Explore Jerusalem’s ancient quarters, take in the modern pulse of Tel Aviv, and find inspiration at significant historical sites like Masada and the Western Wall. Along the way, you’ll engage with Israel’s dynamic society through encounters with local teens, volunteering opportunities, and insightful discussions about current events. From floating in the Dead Sea to hiking in the Judean Desert and enjoying the nightlife of vibrant cities, this program offers a comprehensive and immersive experience that connects you to Israel’s rich culture, history, and the Jewish values that continue to shape it today.
