Life’s Better in the Mountains: Snow Tubing - IC Sightseeing Recap
At IC, Sightseeing day is an opportunity for everyone to explore the city and other areas surrounding the IC hotel by selecting one of many different program options. For my sightseeing activity I was able to switch into Life’s Better in the Mountains: Snow Tubing after originally receiving a different activity, so I was super excited. I really wanted to go snow tubing, so I was thrilled. Despite my excitement for the activity, I didn’t know anyone from my region that was going snow tubing too. However, this ended up being no problem as I got to my bus and introduced myself to some girls, and they were so welcoming that I was able to form brand new friendships and spend the entire day with them. We started our day in Downtown Evergreen, where we ate lunch and went into a bunch of really cute small-business shops. It was such a nice area, and it was so different from what we had seen in urban Denver so far. We then made our way to Echo Mountain, where we drank hot chocolate and had the time of our lives. The people working on the mountain were so accommodating and were happy to help us tube in any way we wanted, such as going backwards, spinning, or linking with other tubes. Everyone got to ride the mountain around 5-10 times, and it never got boring. I’m so beyond happy to have had this special experience in Colorado that is so different from anything back home!
