I love watching TV shows on rainy days; I find comfort in drinking coffee and watching one of my favorite shows when the weather's so down, so here I made a list of my favorite ones so you can have the full experience!

  1. Brooklyn 99

Brooklyn 99, as almost every sitcom, is one of the best shows to watch on a rainy day. Thanks to its super funny characters and mostly teenager-targeted humor, it is one of my favorite shows (especially the Halloween specials) and that is why it made this top 5.

Brooklyn 99 is my #1 recommendation because it deals with serious subjects like discrimination through different characters who you get to know and identify with. It also has fun storylines which just make it easy to stay focused on the excellent humor it has.

  1. Gilmore Girls

Gilmore Girls pretty much invented the ultimate autumn-rainy day coffee show. It has lovable characters, gripping storylines, and love-full friendships and relations. It also incorporates a ton of secondary characters so you don’t get sick of the main ones, even though you will never be sick of Rory and Lorali!

  1. Heartstopper

Heartstopper is definitely the show to pull on your heartstrings. It’s a sweet show about different couples that we see in our society, with a splash of cheesiness and love. Even though it has lighthearted main characters, it deals with a lot of different societal issues such as eating disorders. The best part about this show is that it doesn’t bring up these issues in toxic, unhealthy, situations but in an environment in which the characters have a space to heal and grow. The relationships are so healthy which just makes it so comfortable to watch, especially when you want something cute to see on a rainy day.

  1. Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl presents the glamorous life of the elite of New York. You follow along with a group of friends whose lives are filled with drama, plot twists, exclusivity, fashion, romance, and every designer brand you can think of! It has 6 long seasons so you have plenty of binging time to root for different couples, be surprised by the different plot twists, and watch the growth of characters who should be locked away for a long time into decent people who steal your heart!

  1. Outer Banks

Outer Banks is truly the show with everything: romance, adventure, mystery, and treasure. Watching the characters’ glowy tan ski, and watching them swim and boat will make you crave summer in all the best ways; meaning the minute the rain stops you need to hang out with your friends on the beach and go solving mysteries.

It was really hard to narrow it down to five, but I would love to give some honorable mention to shows that didn't make the list, those shows would be: Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Friends, and Never Have I Ever.

I hope you guys watch the shows and like them as much as I do!
