My Top 5 Tips & Tricks to Reach Social Media Success
All across the order, Instagram is easily the most used form of social media for a chapter, with everything it needs to promote and grow. If you’re chapter Mazkirah or any other position on your chapter’s promotion network, by far, one of your biggest goals is gaining attraction through methods of strong promotion. To achieve this, focusing largely on your social media presence will gain more attention, and with that comes new members! If you take these tips into account, you are sure to succeed!
- Finding a platform that works best for you, whether it is Canva, ProCreate, or another, is the key to expressing your creativity. You want to make sure you are using something that you are comfortable with and know all about how to work each of its features. I always use Canva, as I like all of the elements that it has to offer.
- Keeping your color scheme consistent throughout your chapter’s Instagram page allows it to be aesthetically pleasing and, overall, attractive. If prospects in your region are choosing between chapters, they will most likely check out your Instagram. By having a good-looking feed, you will gain viewers, and prospects will grow a liking toward your feed and maybe, soon, chapter. On Canva, I make a color palette and keep the color codes that I tend to use in mind so I can use them on every post and flyer to make our page flow.
- Utilizing your story alongside your feed can create a fun feeling for your Instagram. You can use it for hype weeks, where you post consistently the week of an event. Posting for fun, aside from just your events, can show the togetherness of your chapter, as well as its personality!
- Using your highlights acts as a rewind for people to see past events and to show upcoming events after you post the flyers for them. Pictures of members can be stored there for all to see, showing the bond that your chapter has with one another, as well as the programming they do together, which helps to shine a light on your chapter as a whole. Also, putting your registration links in your bio can make for an easy and accessible place for people to continuously find your upcoming events and all of the information about them, which can boost attendance.
Don’t be afraid to take inspiration from other chapters in other regions, yet also come up with your own ideas for posts! If you are ever lost or need some motivation or a guide to making a flyer, using a template or going based on other outside chapters can be a big help. But you also want to be sure to come up with your own flyers to display your creativity and make this position truly your own!
