Magic is defined as wonderful and exciting. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has been a tradition in my family for so many years. My Great Aunt and Uncle have been balloon handlers for 23 years now.

When I was little, every Thanksgiving morning, we would wake up, and Mom would scream, “Come on, kids, you're going to miss the parade!” The parade is one of the reasons Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Every other year, we go to NYC, and my mom and sister are a part of the parade. Standing there so cold, freezing in the wind, we watched the balloons fly high.

The parade has given my family so many cool experiences, like getting to meet Josh Gad and screaming at the celebrities on the floats. I can definitely say it's worth getting up at 5 am.

The magic of Thanksgiving for my family is the parade and it will always be.
