CLTC: The 12 (and a half) Most Memorable Days of My Life
“CLTC is the best 12 days of your life.” You probably have heard this expression a million times before as it is one of the most popular BBYO phrases. However, in my opinion, the term memorable is a much better way to describe my experience at CLTC 3. Not every day was perfect or the best, but that is why I will never forget them. Each day brought the unexpected, with memories like indoor stargazing- because it rains a lot in Poyntelle- losing your voice because you can’t stop singing, and finding way too many different ways to break a hammock.
Even bad memories like burning your hand on a curling iron become good when you remember the amazing friends that finished your hair for you and tied your shoes. I didn’t know their names a few months ago, and now I can’t imagine life without them. Each day brought me closer to a new person and by the end, I formed so many bonds that will certainly last a lifetime. Every single memory is incredibly special as they brought me some of my favorite people in the entire world.
Without my BBYO summer experience, I honestly don’t know who I would be today. After going to the same sleepaway camp with the same people for six years I was terrified to try something completely new. Still, I took a risk and tried a different experience, and I am incredibly grateful that I did. Before CLTC, I had never been in a place with that many genuinely nice people who were actually interested in making new friends. The program, the place, and most importantly, the people changed my life, and I know they will change yours too.
Each and every one of you have the opportunity to create your own unexpected. You can have your own memorable experiences and make truly amazing friends that will last a lifetime, just like I did. I promise that if you register for CLTC, you will not regret it.

In the double portion of Behar-Bechukotai, God gave Moses commandments. Does BBYO fit into those commandments?
