Every day, teens scroll, click, and text on a multitude of applications on their phones. But how do each of these applications relate to BBYO? How does each Aleph and B’nai B’rith Girl use these applications to enhance their chapters, councils and regions, and the International Order?

GroupMe

This app is used to create big groups regardless of the brand of phone you have. Within BBYO, this application is used to manage committees and send out mass information. Without GroupMe, many vital aspects of our movement would not have the necessary communication which helps it thrive.

Spotify

It is known within programming that music can enhance any event. Spotify is used within BBYO to create playlists and share them amongst all Alephs and BBGs. On an International level, Spotify is used to help promote our biggest gathering of the year: International Convention. An IC playlist was created by our International S’ganim to hype up the event locally.

Twitter

Constant updates on Twitter are used to inform members of what is going on in the International Order. It is always great to log on to twitter to catch up with everything going on in every region.

Zoom

Hours and hours of calls happen each day on zoom. Zoom allows people to have group conference calls, which allows teams to hold meetings and discussions anywhere and anytime. This is where most of BBYO’s at-home planning happens.

Facebook

Most popular for because of the annual #AZABBGIC group, Facebook connects teens from across our Movement, whether it's filling out surveys for classes, helping each other fundraise, or simply collecting Snapchat usernames to make a group. In BBYO, Facebook is a go-to spot for communication.

Snapchat

Whether it's a Snapchat group to keep up with your CLTC friends or a Snapchat takeover on BBYO Insider, Snapchat always comes in handy when trying to stay in touch with friends. So many BBYO Snapchat groups are created to connect teens all around the world. Sometimes, special BBYO events will have geo-filters.

Instagram

‍Last but certainly not least, Instagram. Instagram is the primary social media platform for teens today. It used to help spread information and inform Alephs and BBGs about what is going on in their chapters, regions, and internationally. Some of our most successful campaigns owe their success to this app.

Social media impacts every Aleph and BBG, no matter where you are from. It is our main method of communicating from one side of the world to the other. It connects everyone in BBYO and bridges the gaps between our communities, and really, makes us feel like a global movement.
