Big Apple Region

About Us

Big Apple Region (BAR) serves Jewish teens in grades 8–12 across Brooklyn and Queens, New York, offering a wide range of teen-led programming.

With eight chapters throughout the region, teens create and participate in experiences that build leadership skills, strengthen Jewish identity, and foster a sense of community. Programs range from social events like ice skating and overnights to community service, Shabbat celebrations, and leadership trainings. Advisors and staff are present at every program to ensure a safe and supportive environment.

BAR is known for its energy and creativity, with teens leading the way in shaping meaningful experiences and making an impact in their communities and beyond.

Fun fact: BAR’s colors are red and white, and its mascots are Pebbles and Bam Bam.
