About Us

BBYO South Africa has been vibrant and active since its reintroduction in 2020, with over 150 teens involved year-round. BBYO South Africa has continued to grow steadily, with thriving chapters in Cape Town and Johannesburg. As one of the only teen-led youth movements in South Africa, BBYO offers a unique and inclusive platform for Jewish identity, leadership, and exploration. Our mission is to create opportunities for teens to connect with one another locally while also feeling part of the global Jewish peoplehood. Proudly affiliated with the South African Zionist Federation, our vision is to cultivate a strong pipeline of Jewish leadership by ensuring meaningful and impactful Jewish experiences during the critical high school years.
