About Mid America Region: Omaha Council

OCC stands for Omaha Cornbelt Council, a council within Mid-America Region BBYO. Omaha Cornbelt Council, the founding city of AZA, reaches 200 Jewish teens across the Greater Omaha Area. Omaha Cornbelt Council has two exceptional chapters, MZ Yoshannah BBG #2503 and Mother Chapter AZA #1. Omaha Cornbelt Council is supported by Omaha’s very active B’nai B’rith Chapter and the Jewish Federation of Omaha.

Events are planned by teens, for teens and programming ranges from fun activities like ice skating and camping overnights, to communal Shabbat celebrations and leadership trainings. A parent, advisor, or regional staff member is always on hand to ensure safety and health.

Fun Fact: Omaha Council is the birth place of AZA and is home to the first ever AZA chapter, Mother Chapter AZA #1.
