Celebrate the Founding of Our Movement

On May 3, AZA and BBYO will turn 103, and on April 22, BBG will turn 83. Starting on April 22 through the end of May, chapters worldwide will organize events to honor our anniversaries. Founders' Fest will be filled with local celebrations reconnecting alumni with BBYO.

Planning

Founders' Fest programs connect to the history and heart of AZA and BBG. There are two core types of Founders' Fest experiences:

  • Ritual and Tradition | Lift up, educate, and participate in some of our most historic Movement traditions including new member inductions, chapter board installations, history trivia nights, life ceremonies, cheer circles, and more.
  • Alumni Integration | This initiative is the perfect moment to welcome alumni home to BBYO. There are dozens of ways to involve local alumni in your experience.

If you still have questions, reach out to the International S'ganim at sgan@bbyo.org and sganit@bbyo.org for planning support.

Programming

The Program Bank is filled with incredible rituals and traditions, as well as sports-focused programs that can connect with the Founders' Fest initiative for you to do with alumni at your chapter. Below are a few of our favorites that you can explore:

The BBYO Archive

Explore your chapter and region's history on The BBYO Archive to enhance your program. Print photos and stories to educate members about the history of our movement through this new digital platform.
